In partnering with Maison MRKT, Pistola aimed to scale its digital presence to reach new audiences while deepening loyalty amongst core customers. Competitively positioned as a leader in contemporary denim, the brand sought specifically to amplify awareness of its premium denim construction and inspire confidence in online shopping. Beyond reinforcing its identity as “The Denim Authority,” Pistola also aimed to expand its product equity across new categories.
With these goals in mind, Maison MRKT got to work crafting a dynamic, data-driven growth strategy that would not only capture attention, but also deliver measurable results. To kickstart this process, our teams deployed Create to Perform, the agency’s proprietary creative asset optimization program designed to refine and elevate one of the most vital elements of digital marketing: ad creative.
The process began with a collaborative workshop to identify Pistola’s core brand pillars and examine relevant barriers and motivators to purchase. Maison MRKT honed in on three primary opportunities: solidifying Pistola’s position as a premium yet accessible denim brand, showcasing its exceptional fabrication, and broadening awareness of its bold and colorful product offering beyond the denim category.
Our teams then utilized a phased testing approach, starting with a click test to evaluate audience engagement. We identified UGC videos and seasonal styling content as top-engaging creatives. These insights informed the second phase, a conversion test, which paired high-potential assets with tailored messaging to measure purchase intent. The conversion test underscored the overall effectiveness of targeted messaging while revealing a singular winning value proposition: price + quality. With this value proposition in mind, the stage was set for scalable growth and iterative optimization.

Founded in 2013 by industry veteran Grace Na, Pistola Denim is a Los Angeles-based womenswear brand blending high-level craftsmanship with a street-smart sensibility. Driven by Na’s 20+ years of expertise, Pistola delivers modern, elevated denim at an unmatched price point, defining premium denim for the modern, city-dwelling woman. Known for its bold designs and impeccable construction, Pistola’s expanding product line continues to push boundaries in contemporary women’s RTW.

Developing a scalable growth model through continuous creative testing, iteration, and optimization.
Maison MRKT leveraged insights from Create to Perform to develop a creative mix that centered Pistola’s winning creative styles and messaging. This creative mix included top-performing, founder-led content videos which facilitated a personal connection between the customer and the brand. Newly tailored campaigns ran across Google and Meta and connected with UGC-oriented customers by launching Pistola on TikTok ads.
With the insights Maison MRKT gleaned from our Create to Perform program, our teams worked together to develop several creative “templates” that propelled our creative strategy and performance through the rest of Q3 and Q4. These templates focused on finding the right balance between showcasing product and the messaging that went along with those products to maximize CTR and efficient customer acquisition costs. The results were iterable templates to showcase new styles and evolving seasonal collections in a format that guarantees winning KPIs.
In addition to strong performance, Maison MRKT and Pistola were able to switch out messaging on existing assets to reach new audience segments – letting the creative do the targeting. Finally, we also finetuned the post-click experience by testing optimal landing page performance and product tags.
By addressing Pistola’s unique business challenges and leveraging its core strengths, Maison MRKT not only elevated the brand’s performance but also positioned it for long-term growth.
